Remarks: ONLY VOLUME II: My Volume II copy is a 1953 Doubleday and Company publication with Doubleday copyrights 1905-1930 and a long list of copyrights by other publishers. The book is in excellent condition. It has a purple linen cloth cover with a tan linen cloth spine that has purple printing background on the top half. The pastedown and free page are purple and have a white ink 'A Conan Doyle' signature printed on the free page. The dust jacket is in poor condition and has excessive chips and nicks along all the edges, a spine side tear on the bottom front edge and shows scuffs, tanning & heavy wear. It now is in a clear protective plastic cover. The preface is by Christopher Morley. Volume II contains: The Return of Sherlock Holmes (13 short stories), The Hound of the BAskervilles, The Valley of Fear, His Last Bow (8 short stories) and The Case Book of Sherlock Holmes (12 short stories).
