Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Read this version! Its the best ...
This version of the Bhagavad-Gita is - in my oppinion - the most beautiful excisting version in English. I have read many others, and eventhough the basic content is the same, this version is much more poetic, much more interesting to read, - and it makes much more sense! It is (my personal oppinion) most likely written by a person of great faith. Highly recommended.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Reverential celebration of morality.
This poem contains many lines of ineffable beauty and wisdom rendered understandable to western minds by Arnold's heroic efforts.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Mahatma Gandhi's[1869 - 1948] reflections on this title.
Source: Gandhi an Autobiography - The story of my experiments with truth. Part I, Chapter XX - Acquaintance with Religions. The book struck me as one of priceless worth. The impression has ever since been growing on me with the result that I regard it yesterday as the book par excellence for the knowledge of Truth. It has afforded me invaluable help in moments of gloom. I have read almost all the English translations of it(THE BHAGAVAD GITA), and I regard Sir Edwin Arnold's as the best. He has been faithful to the test, and yet it does not read like a translation.
