Editor's Notes and Comments:
Product Description:
'Voices from the Stranger's Room,' edited by Elaine and Joseph Coppola, is the third major publication of the Mycroft Holmes Society of Syracuse (founded 1971). Like its predecessor: 'Occasionally the British Governmen't. it is a collection of scholarship, puzzles, pastiche, poems, and miscellanea pertaining to Sherlock Holmes, his world, and of course his brother Mycroft. Material gathered from the writings of members of the Mycroft Holmes Society are mixed with material supplied by noted Sherlockians. 'Voices from the Stranger's Room,' will entertain. educate, and amuse the casual reader as well as the Sherlock Holmes expert.

This is an excellent collection of essays and other items relating to the world of Sherlock and Mycroft (the smarter brother) Holmes. The works are well written and insightfully done by highly qualified commentators. New insights abound. My personal favorite may be the explanation of what Professor Moriarity's real mathematical work consisted of. (Certainly not the binomial theory as Watson claimed!) This work is put out by the highly respected Mycroft Holmes Society, a scion society of the Baker Street Irregulars.
