One of the biggest fears about pregnancy is the actual giving birth. You don't know what to expect, etc. Well, this book helps to calm fears about labor and puts it all iin perspective. I really liked it and would recommend it to anyone who feels they need some advice in this area. I also liked and would recommend You Know You're Pregnant When. I LOVE this book!!! It is VERY difficult to find a book about labor and delivery that is focused on natural, holistic philosophies. Of the few that are out there, this is by far the best! I started out with other, more well known approaches and appreciated the general nature of the techniques, but found them lacking in spiritual depth and feeling somewhat superficial. If you just want techniques, they may be good approaches for you. However, I was looking for something that had a deep, philsophical foundation in addition to great techniques. What I love about this book is how it talks about the entire process of pregnancy, labor/delivery, and postpartun care. It is truly an holistic approach and I am grateful to have stumbled upon it!! I can't wait to read the author's other books!

This book offers a method that is new in this sense, methods that are steeped in ancient tradition and proven scientifically have been brought together in a cohesive form for women to use in childbirth. It is a method that can help erase fears and help women discover their own power. This method gives women the opportunity to give birth to their baby in a concious and healthy way whether they have their babies without drugs, with drugs or by cesarean. I highly recommend this book.
