Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - A SIX stars story
When you read a book and:

1) Since you start reading you can't close the book till the end.

2) You'll never have any inkling of what is going to happen in the subsequent page.

3) All the characters are well depicted.

4) You get into the story.

5) You have a story of love. Not a love story.

6) You have a great time reading it.

The book deserves SIX stars.

P.S. If you like this kind of thrillers read: Silent Run

Rated by buyers 3 out of 5 stars - Easy read; so so.......
Pretty good story. Sort of hard to believe circumstances involving a 2 year abduction. At least I did finish this one. Not the best but not the worst either. Sorry I cannot tell you it's a keeper. Happy reading.

Rated by buyers 3 out of 5 stars - Don't Expect Much And You Won't Be Disappointed!
If you don't expect much coming into this read you won't be disappointed with how it plays out. I know that this sounds harsh but the fact remains that although Ms. Sala is a wonderful author this effort was not up to her usual standards.

Without going into a synopsis and therefore potentially ruining the story for readers, suffice it to say that this was a rather formulatic read that left me well...not satisfied. What was the exact problem you ask? Well, for one it was technical issues that made the biggest issues for me. POV at times was a bit confusing, plot direction...scattered. Characters were good and even interesting but this was a story about Frankie and Clay and I at times was more drawn to the villian in the piece. What made him tick? Although this is an important question readers should also be drawn to the main characters. For this reader that was not the case.

Ms. Sala has plenty of other efforts on her backlist (this is a re-issue) that are more worthy of her talent. Ms. Sala was just a bit off her game and since she has blown me away in the past...I was a little let down. Now...with that said, if you are new to this author and it is your very first introduction you will find this a good read. I do recommend that you pick up a few other titles to see what she is truly capable of doing though if you are a fan of romantic suspense.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - A Romantic thriller you won't be able to put down!!
This book had me from the moment I started reading it. This is my very first Sharon Sala book and I know it will be one of my favorite romance thrillers. Frankie and Clay are so happy in love, until Clay comes home and Frankie is gone, and he finds blood. No one knows where she is. Sala keeps you reading and at the end of each chapter, keeps you hanging on the edge to read more and more. Frankie shows up two years later acting like nothing has happened, and she has last seen her husband a "few hours ago." After Clay is asking Frankie questions, she thinks her husband is nothing but drunk and out of his mind. He sees bruises on her, and marks that looks like needles were through her, but she has never done any kind of drugs before. She ends up in the hospital after passing out. What happened to Frankie? Was she in an accident? Kidnapped? Robbed? Did she purposely just walk out of her husbands life? Will Frankie open up and remember what has happened after returning to her husband? Is it going to take time? If she was running away from her husband, Can he ever trust her again? Frankie gets these sudden flashbacks, What is causing them? Are they pretend or real? These questions that are left unanswered will keep you reading more. I definitly recommend this book!!

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Out of the Dark
I love Sala's books... just finished 'Out of the Dark' .. in
record time!! However, I am having trouble finding books by
this author. Most places won't ship to Canada and if they do
it gets very expensive. Is there anywhere in Canada to get her
'out of date' books?
