Product Description:
“I love you, my Elizabeth. You are my soul, my blood and bone, my very life.” The quest to meld as one is realized. The two have become one soul, and together they travel down the pathway of life. The tale of matrimonial happily-ever-after began in Two Shall Become One ~ Mr. and Mrs. Fitzwilliam Darcy and continued in Journeys Beyond Pemberley and now recommences in The Darcys at Year’s End. Elizabeth and Darcy have been married nine bliss-filled months when our story resumes. Happily ensconced at Pemberley, they await the birth of their very first child with beloved family and friends surrounding. It is a period of peace and anticipation, with a number of adventures, as time marches toward both their very first anniversary and the end of the chronological year. Join our favorite couple as their relationship reaches new heights with each passing day, as they vacation at the seaside, as they welcome their firstborn, as they celebrate their anniversary and second Christmas as a family, and as they at every turn embrace the love gifted to them. The romance and bewitchment is never-ending...

This was truly an enjoyable book! As I've stated in another review, I had hoped, and was not disappointed, that Ms. Lathan would include all the characters from the original Pride & Prejudice in her continuation stories. She does so masterfully in "Year's End" and in "Journeys Beyond Pemberly" (the 2nd installment). The 2005 movie version of P & P had also left out certain characters, ie, the Hursts (Bingley's other sister & brother-in-law). Ms. Lathan weaves them and other "ignored" P & P characters into this newest istallment without skipping a beat. She exhibits continuity by including much of Darcy and Elizabeth's prior familial relationships (the Bennetts, the Bingleys) in "Year's End," which, as a fan of P & P, I needed to see. In addition to witnessing Darcy and Elizabeth's love and intimacy grow, it was wonderful to see their relationships with their extended family and friends grow as well. I loved the introduction of a newly created Darcy relative and hope to see that character find love in subsequent Lathan books. Also, Ms. Lathan has an interesting take on what happens to "beloved" P & P characters in her series which I find refreshing and atypical of other P & P fanfiction continuations. As always, I love when Ms. Lathan sheds new light on lines from P & P (book & movie) and how she uses them in her story, for example: when Darcy huskily whispers to Elizabeth that "...poetry and dancing...[for encouraging affection...] is a lethal combination," indeed it is!

Rated by buyers 1 out of 5 stars - Unfortunate
I told myself I was not going to read this third installment even though I bought all three together. After reading the very first two books in this series I wasn't excited about the story Ms Lathan was laying out so I was just going to donate them all to the library, but after spending the $25 I couldn't just drop it at the library (I would have rather given the cash to the library)! Anyway, Darcy's at Years End is more of the same. Redundant and unbelievable. No matter how much Ms Lathan wishes it, at that time, and in their situation Elizabeth's labor would not have played out the way it did. Since this is a work of fiction and up to the imagination of the authoress obviously it will go whatever direction she wants to take it, but for me it was unrealistic. I do like Mr. Darcy's uncle, he provided some much needed boredom relief. I want more for the Darcy's than for them to be the clingy, dependent souls they are made out to be. You can still be amazingly in love without all the dependency and whininess. Elizabeth is a strong willed independent woman, it's who Darcy fell in love with, and you won't find her here.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Darcy Fan Fiction

Great book and part of a great series of three Austen P & P fan fiction novels. Truly captures the heart of the Darcy & Elizabeth characters as portrayed in the 2005 film! Very well written and totally hot!

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - If you love to read about true love--READ THIS BOOK!
I admit, I fell in love with Elizabeth and Darcy years ago when I very first read Pride and Prejudice. I couldn't wait for a "newer" big-screen adaptation to come out and when it did starring Keira Knightley and Matthew MacFadyen...I was in love all over again. Sharon's books are a continuation of 'what happened next.' If you're like me and you want to really know what happened next--these volumes are an excellent way of finding out. I am a romance nut and there is plenty of it in her book. Each character is developed and Sharon's books are a treat for those of us who all want to know....what happened next!

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Wanting More
I love the enchanting beginning. Not wanting to give too much away, this new character Sharon has added to the fold is one of my favourites. He brings a new dimension with lots of humour and wisdom to the Darcy household.

The seaside holiday and other adventures are amazingly told with so much detail to the history of the era. There is more beautiful romance and loving throughout which is heavenly to read.

There is also the thrill and joy of a new Darcy!!!

I love the way Georgiana and Kitty are developing into fine young ladies and the ever delightful Col Fitzwilliam is written brilliantly. He adds just the right amount of humour throughout.

Excellent novel Sharon, please keep writing more so I can fill my book shelves with my own Lathan collection.
