Rated by buyers 3 out of 5 stars - Meh
Sequal to "The Wrath of Gog", "In The Name of Gog" is a halfway decent Superman comic. It picks up right where the previous left off. Superman and Superboy (with some Titans along for the ride) have an impressive fight with The Repo Man and Preus. Suddenly an army of Gogs show up out of no where and Doomsday (who's been given emotions for no apparent reason) becomes a good guy. Well, Gog apparently kills Superman, but actually keeps him alive and torchers him for many years, before magically changing his mind and taking Doomsday (leader of a new superhero group dedicated to Superman) back to the past to fix it.

If you like Superman comics with big fights, this one is pretty good. Superman is written very uncharacteristically throughout. He appears very young (until he starts to prematurely age) and is very immature (he acts a lot more like Spider-man then Superman). His love triangle largely takes a back seat in this set, leaving plenty of room for the action. Again, not bad if you're looking for the action, but the plot and writing isn't much good.

Rated by buyers 2 out of 5 stars - Its great if you can't read
Great art and a weak story with bad characterizations. This writer Chuck Austen just doesn't get Superman. He might as well be an imposter flying around in Superman's suit. The characters in this book don't behave in the manner you have come to expect out of them. The story itself is completely incoherent and makes no sense. It is almost as if Austen had never read a Superman book before writing this and the previous one THE WRATH OF GOG. I say skip it.
