I had hoped to find a good read, and since P & P was excellent, I picked this sequel up, hoping it could be nearly as well written, and it was. It lacked a bit of the staid formalities of the first, but was exceptionally well written, without the usual annoying language and slang I have found in too many novels written in the past few decades. Good story, well written.

A good version of a continuation of the Darcy's story. Although this is more about Mr. Dary's sister and new characters, this story was a good read. Conviction: a sequel to Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice

Another sequel to Pride and Prejudice. I liked this sequel more than others, but I let the cover scare me away for a long time. I thought it would be pretty amature, so I read a lot of others first. Some of the literary stylings in this book seemed strange to me, but they don't show up too often. I thought the story line was logical and compelling. If you love this genre, this book will not disapoint.

First, my favorite version of Pride and Prejudice is the TV version. Love it! I took those characters into my reading of the sequels. I have read two sequels of Pride and Prejudice thus far. Conviction is my favorite at this time. I enjoyed the way the author portrayed the characters and loved the story line. Had a hard time putting the book aside. Excellent Reading.

I really enjoyed reading this book, I could barely put it down after the very first 100 pages. By focusing on Georgiana, the author didn't have to create friction in the lives of our favorite fairy tale couples, and could create her own believable version. I liked her writing style overall, which reflected the regency period, but more contemporary. Also, the author also heald her characters up to a high standard, like Austen. I have passed this book around to other P&P fans, and they have enjoyed it as well. Highly recommend to anyone who knows the P&P background.
